Return to sport - Covid-19 Protocols

These Return to Sport/Training protocols are Dodgeball BC’s rules and policies intended to enable a safe return to the sport.

General Guidelines
DBC highly encourages all players, officials, and volunteers to maintain a distance of at least two (2) metres between them when possible.
Players are advised to play with their cohort for the duration of a season and not sub on any other team.
At no point shall there be more than fifty (50) individuals permitted in the area of playing court.
Following each match, all balls and commonly touched surfaces will be cleaned and properly disinfected
Spectators are not permitted at this time.
Health prerequisites for all participants and organizers
No symptoms associated with COVID-19 (COVID-19 Self-Assessment)
No contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days
Participant Responsibilities
Do not attend league or practice if you are feeling unwell
Avoid touching your face
Sneeze and cough into your elbow
Bring personal hand sanitizer and use regularly throughout the game
Avoid close quarters and physical contact (e.g., high fives, huddling, hugging, etc.)
Players should wear a mask during your arrival/departure from the facility
Organizer Responsibilities
Provide clear instructions to participants prior to each activity on the measures in place
Attendance of all players, officials and volunteers should be taken weekly.
Implement signage that allows a safe and efficient flow of traffic in and out of the court
Have sanitizer stations at venue entrances and near team benches to allow players to take added precautions. Encourage hand sanitizing during downtime (between matches, while players are sitting and at half time).
